Michael Fassbender has just boosted the profile of one Irish band after giving them a huge shout out on US TV. He was appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote his new movie, Alien: Covenant, when he told a story about his 40th birthday party.
He explained that he went home to Ireland for a surprise birthday party that his sister had planned. For the party, they had the '80s tribute band Spring Break.
He didn't just drop them into conversation and move on, he went on about how excellent they are and recommended them to anyone who needed a band.
He said:
"I went back to Fossa. My sister threw a surprise birthday party for me, but she told me, because she had to ensure that I was there.
I showed up thankfully. It was fantastic, she threw a great party.
We did have a band, a band called Spring Break - which are excellent, if you're ever looking for a band."
