Since news of Sofia Richie and Scott Disick’s relationship broke, people have been quick to share their lack of approval for the pair. Commenting on the 19-year-old’s relationship with 34-year-old dad-of-three Scott, followers have mainly been taking aim at their 15-year age gap. However, we’d imagine the latest person’s thoughts will have a bigger impact than most. Sofia’s dad and music legend, Lionel Richie, has been speaking about his youngest child’s relationship with the reality star and let’s just say, it’s not all that positive. “Is it going to be for life? I don’t know,” Lionel told The Daily Telegraph. “But for right now it’s just a phase and I’m going to stand real still in the corner, get me a good drink and not make too much noise.” The singer went on to compare the relationship to a time when he went to his father, with a full afro, and told him he was in love. Lionel says his dad ignored it and let him work it out himself. “My daughter is getting me back for my afro days,” Lionel continued. “She’s 19. When you’re 19 you know everything.” Yikes, so we don’t think Lionel is giving his seal of approval for the pair. These comments come a few months after Lionel told reporters that Sofia and Scott’s relationship left him “scared to death”. And Lionel isn't the only family member who appears to disapprove of the relationship. Kendall Jenner has seemingly made a few digs at the relationship online and while she may not be a blood relative, we're sure they hurt just as much. The model appeared to have made a dig at the new couple that has a 15-year age gap when a fan site posted a picture of Scott and Sofia and his children with the caption, “It’s good to see them together”, to which Kendall responded, “Awww, Scott and his kids.” Earlier this year, Sofia shared a picture of her pet horse, Dragon, that had sadly passed away and paid tribute to him in an emotional post. Just a few weeks later, Kendall shared a picture of her new horse, coincidently named Dragon. The connection wasn't missed by fans of the pair who quickly criticised Kendall for taking her issue with Scott's new relationship too far.
