What did you make of the segment?
Last night, former Miss Ireland Amanda Brunker was a guest on the Late Late Show. She spoke about cosmetic surgery, the work she's had some and the abuse she sometimes gets about having it done.
She defended her decision to get Botox 'once or twice a year', adding that she gets it done to look fresher.
The discussion caused debate in itself. We all know that cosmetic surgery is somewhat popular in Ireland, but is it safe for young impressionable viewers to see someone stating that Botox makes them happy?

At one point in the clip, Amanda states that it's tough coming on camera after Christmas and adds that she's been on 'practical starvation since Tuesday'.
The discussion about vanity caused quite a stir, but it wasn't until she got Botox live on air that viewers really kicked off.

Viewers took to Twitter to express their disappointment.

Ultimately, Amanda probably came on the show to try to get rid of the stigma around cosmetic surgery. And while every one has a right to do what they want, perhaps purpose of the segment wasn't very clear and it may not be helpful for impressionable people. Perhaps they should have had someone who is anti-cosmetic surgery to balance the conversation and help people to come to their own conclusions.
