The streaming platform bought the rights for the two sequels from Media Rights Capital. The deal is one of the biggest ever made for a movie series or franchise. According to Variety, the original film's director and lead actor - Rian Johnson and Daniel Craig, respectively - will return for the subsequent Knives Out sequels. It's currently unclear if the film's co-producer Ram Bergman is on board as well. Craig is expected to take home an astronomical fee for his appearance in the sequels. The original Knives Out saw the James Bond star as a master detective investigating the death of a wealthy gentleman. Craig was joined by a number of big names, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Ana de Armas, Chris Evans and Toni Colette. Knives Out also starred the late Christopher Plummer in one of his final performances. On its release in 2019, Knives Out enjoyed a smashing box-office release.
