Kim Cattrall is once again returning to our screens for a new Netflix series, Glamorous. The show follows the story of a gender non-conforming person called Marco, played by Ben J Pierce,  who is trying to make a it in the beauty industry. Marco starts working for the fabulous make-up mogul Madolyn Addison, played by Cattrall. The job is Marco’s first chance to figure out what they want out of life, and what it really means to be queer. The project will shoot in Toronto starting in July, so we have a while to wait until it lands on the streaming platform - we're guessing it will be 2023 at the earliest. Cattrall shared the news to her Instagram page on Saturday, writing: "So happy to be part of this project". Not much more has been revealed yet the new show just yet, but Sex and the City fans will undoubtedly be delighted at the news of Cattrall's casting, especially since she declined a role in And Just Like That. While many fans would love to see Cattrall do a U-turn and reprise her role as Samantha in the reboot, it's not looking likely.

In an interview with Variety, she said Sex and The City is "like an echo of the past" and not something she would return to.

Referring to how And Just Like That has continued Samantha's story without her, she said it felt the character portrayed in the reboot seemed "different than the Samantha that I played".

"It’s odd, isn’t it? I don’t know how to feel about it. It’s so finite for me, so it doesn’t continue." However, the actress admitted she takes pride in the fact that so many people want more from the character. "That feels powerful, that I’ve left something behind that I’m so proud of. I loved her. I loved her so, so, so much. It’s tough competition. The original show is in all of our imaginations. But for me, it feels clean."
