Get Out was an instant horror classic – both an incredibly perceptive take on race relations in modern America, but also a terrific crowd-pleasing scary movie in its own right.
First time writer/director Jordan Peele won as Oscar for his brilliant script, and the film also picked up nominations for Best Film, Best Director, and Best Actor for Daniel Kaluuya.
Peele was previously best known for his comedy sketch show alongside Keegan-Michael Key, and no one was expecting his debut movie to be so good.
But now everyone is extremely excited about what he’ll do next. Rumours of Get Out 2 have been circulating, with Peele himself even suggesting that Kanye West’s recent tweets could be the inspiration for a sequel.
But now he has confirmed his next project on Twitter. It’s going to be called Us, and star MadMen’s Elisabeth Moss and Black Panther’s Lupita Nyong'o. He also tweeted this very cool looking poster:

For now, we don’t know much else but the tagline reads “A new nightmare from the mind of Academy Award winner Jordan Peele”, so we can guess it is another horror movie.
Something to looks forward to for next year.
