Irish chaser Darragh Ennis has hit back at fans after some claimed he was losing games on The Chase on purpose. Nicknamed The Menace, the ITV chaser was not best pleased to hear that fans of the daytime quiz show had been messing up questions deliberately during the 'Final Chase.' Wednesday's episode saw Paul, Lynsey and Sarah make it to the final round and set a target of 16 for Darragh to beat on his own. Starting off solid, The Menace soon began to slip up, getting a question or two wrong and the team getting it right and pushing him back a spot. https://twitter.com/bones_giles/status/1448340606212837383 Not making it in time to beat the team, the trio took home £11,000 and defeating Darragh for the second time ever since he joined the series in 2020. But despite their win, Darragh got some angry messages on social media accusing him of giving the wrong answers purposely and letting them win. It didn't take long for him to hit back, saying: "For those of you accusing me of losing that game on purpose on #TheChase today a few things: 1. That would be fraud 2. You are committing libel 3. You are doing a disservice to a good team who smashed in the pushbacks 4. I will block people in future." And he wasn't the only chaser to say something, with Paul 'The Sinnerman' Sinha writing: "Remember that thing that human beings have good days and bad days because they are human beings? Well Chasers are human beings. If you tweet lies about us throwing it, maybe think of having a good day some time."
