Let’s face it, 2016 was the year of disappointment.
Brexit happened, Trump got elected, the Irish Government keep skirting around the 8th amendment, the Gilmore Girls Revival was an elaborate waste of time and frankly the John Lewis ad didn’t live up to expectations.
It’s been a tough one and the only light at the end of the tunnel is that 2016 is nearly over.
But, some solace has come in the form of this incredible advert from H&M.
Directed by Wes Anderson, the ad tells the tale of a train full of strangers thrown together by necessity, and stuck together by fate. With heavy snow and technical failures, the train is delayed forcing the mix of people to celebrate their holidays together.
There is as much charm in the short as any Anderson box office hit and this ad could just be the saviour that we need.
Well done H&M, well done.
