Holy hell. The next few shows are going to be great.

With books to write and a radio show to present, Graham Norton is an incredibly busy man but allow us to be a bit selfish when we say that we'd prefer it if his chatshow was on every Friday night. Ok, the Corkman is fully deserving of a rest and too much of a good thing can be detrimental, but we miss him whenever he's not a regular part of our Friday night viewing because very few people can be that funny, interesting, and switched on when it comes to interviewing celebrities. Aside from this, Norton always has that rare ability to get famous people to open up and talk a bit more about themselves than usual. Who knows? Maybe it's the wine that his production crew constantly have on the table! Well, we're delighted to say that the show is returning to BBC One this week and he has some incredible names lined up to appear on the orange sofa over the coming weeks. Granted, the opening episode of the new season isn't exactly one that you'd cancel all your plans for - Dame Helen Mirren, Jack Whitehall, Simon Reeve, RuPaul and Normani are the guests- but the next two episodes are sensational. On 4 October, Norton will be chatting with Renee Zellweger, Louis Theroux, Lenny Henry and Andrew Ridgeley. Graham Norton interviewing Louis Theroux? We'll watch an hour of that, please. As good as this sounds, it's just a precursor for 11 October though because The Boss is in town. Yes, that's right. Bruce Springsteen will be making a very rare chatshow appearance as he talks about his directorial debut, the documentary Western Stars. Also on the couch that night will be Paul Rudd because he has a new Netflix show, Living With Yourself, being released and Robert De Niro will also be dropping by to chat about his role in Joker - you can read our review of Todd Phillips' film here. Of course, these appearance are subject to change - flights can be cancelled, someone can get sick etc - but as things stand, over the next few weeks, Graham Norton will be chatting to Louis Theroux, Bruce Springsteen, Renee Zellweger, Paul Rudd, Robert De Niro, Helen Mirren, and more. Somehow, over the next few Friday nights, we think more people will be tuned into the Corkman than Ryan Tubridy.
