Could this be true?

Needless to say, this article contains spoilers for the latest season of Game of Thrones. So how about that last episode, huh? It was explosive to say the least and probably crammed a half a season's worth a drama into an hour long episode. The Unsullied took Casterly Rock, but then their ships came under attack. The Lannisters took Highgarden, but Olenna had the last laugh. And finally, at long last, Jon Snow and Daenerys came face to face. Right now, although it seemed a foregone conclusion that Daenerys would win this war easily at the beginning, things have taken a turn for the worst in recent episodes as her allies fall before her. But it looks like the writers were laying clues for this moment as far back as the first season of the show when they produced this conversation between the now deceased Robert Baratheon and Cersei, and it suggests that Cersei doesn't grasp what it takes to win a war and will eventually meet a sorry end. It caught the attention on Reddit of user pnr32, who noticed the similarities between that scene and the current situation for Cersei.

Cersei Lannister: He's not serious enough. I'll say this for Ned Stark: he's serious enough. Was it really worth it? Losing him this way? How long do the people of the Seven Kingdoms stand behind their absentee king, their cowardly king hiding behind high walls? When do the people decide that Viserys Targaryen is the rightful monarch after all? Cersei Lannister: [pours herself wine and sits] We still outnumber them. Robert Baratheon: Which is the bigger number, five or one? Cersei Lannister: Five. Robert Baratheon: [holds up his left fingers] Five... Robert Baratheon: [clutches his right fist] ... one.
