The greatest party that never happened.

Fyre Festival might have planned to take place two years ago now, but the legal costs and money owed to various employees and contractors is still pending. The festival which hoped to see some of the world's greatest acts alongside the rich and famous take to Barbados for a weekend of partying - turned out to be the largest festival flop ever. Set up by Billy McFarland and co-run by Ja Rule (who's now planning a Fyre Festival 2.0 FYI), it looks like in order to fix the enormous debt caused by the festival, the United States Marshals Service is hoping to auction off official merch for a pretty penny. Yep, if you dreamed of being stuck on Great Exuma with a styrofoam box containing a cheese sandwich, you can now get a souvenir of that iconic failed event. As Billy has a debt of $26 million to pay back, the United States Marshals Service said they would auction the merch in the best interests of the U.S government in order to help get funds back to victims.

"We have an assortment of the 'real thing' Fyre Festival-branded T-shirts, sweatpants, sweatshirts, hats, wristbands and medallions. "The USMS will dispose (or sell) the Fyre merchandise in the most efficient, cost-effective way in the best interests of the U.S. Government," they said in a statement to Vulture.

The auction date hasn't been confirmed yet but we're sure there are plenty of people out there waiting to nab some memorabilia.
