"It just didn’t read, even to me. I was not ungrateful that it didn’t work," the actor said. "Through no fault of Jennifer or myself or the writing, it just felt contrived and everything else that happened in the series, and continues to be, was quite organic.
"Nothing was contrived – let’s put these two people together for no reason. Everything happened naturally and I think it’s for that reason it’s still loved to this day."
Yeah, we'd definitely agree with him.
Last week, it was revealed that a Christmas-inspired Friends festival is headed to the UK later this year.
Yes, that's right: get ready to shake your belly like a bowl full of jelly, as Comedy Central UK brings you a holiday-themed edition of the award-winning FriendsFest… FriendsFestive!
The festive Friends bonanza arrives in London this November, and will feature all of the most memorable (and fan favourite) sets - all dressed for the holiday season, naturally.
There will be new photo opportunities, exclusive merchandise - oh, and did we mention the Holiday Armadillo’s grotto?
FriendsFestive will be parking up its sleigh at Truman Brewery, Shoreditch bringing a snowy celebration to Brick Lane from November 28 – December 21.
Tickets cost £34.50 including booking fee and a festive drink - but you better be quick if you're planning on heading along, we reckon these tickets are going to sell out fast.
