The first look at the highly-anticipated romantic drama My Policeman starring Harry Styles is finally here. The pop star has been working hard to break into the acting work as of late, and is also starring in the upcoming psychological thriller Don't Worry Darling with Florence Pugh. My Policeman jumps takes place in 1950s Brighton, in a time when homosexuality was illegal, and deals with a gay man named Tom (Styles) as he finds himself in a love triangle with his girlfriend Marion (Emma Corrin) and man named Patrick (David Dawson). He is forced to repress his true feelings and marry Marion, but tensions rise between them, and his life ends up in shambles. It then jumps to 40 years in the future, when Tom and Marion's marriage is falling apart, and she decides to let Patrick live with them after he suffers a stroke. In the powerful story of forbidden love, we get a look into what life was like for gay men during this the '50s. Amazon Prime Video shared some images to Twitter today, giving us a first look at the cast in action. "The whole point of Tom is that he is a character who is confused,"director Michael Grandage told Vanity Fair. "It's made more problematic by the fact that he's a policeman, and he's in a career that is about upholding the law. "And the law in the country at the time is about everything he feels - the complexity of it is something that whoever was going to play younger Tom and older Tom needed to somehow understand and absorb." My Policeman will be released in cinemas on 21 October 21 and premiere worldwide on Amazon Prime Video on 4 November.
