After season four's cliffhanger, we can't wait to see what's in store.
We finally have a release date for
The Handmaid's Tale season five and it looks like we don't have long to wait.
The dystopian drama will return this Autumn, on 14 September, with a special two-episode premiere.
The fifth season of the Emmy-winning series, created by Bruce Miller and based on Margaret Atwood’s novel of the same name, will have 10 episodes.

The official synopsis reads: "June faces consequences for killing Commander Waterford while struggling to redefine her identity and purpose. The widowed Serena attempts to raise her profile in Toronto as Gilead’s influence creeps into Canada.
"Commander Lawrence works with Aunt Lydia as he tries to reform Gilead and rise in power. June, Luke and Moira fight Gilead from a distance as they continue their mission to save and reunite with Hannah."
Speaking about the new season on The Drey Barrymore Show earlier this year, leading actress Elisabeth Moss hinted at what's in store.
"I will say it’s a very big season, we’ve been on location a lot, we’ve been in the studio very little - which for us means that it’s very big, and we’re just constantly on the road, a lot of locations," she said.
"June’s journey is very big, other character journeys are very big. And June is dealing with, what does freedom actually mean. Can she really be free, and what does that mean, and where do my place my anger? Really big questions, but really identifiable."
In May, series star Alexis Bledel who plays Emily Malek, or Ofglen, announced her decision to
leave the show.
"After much thought, I felt I had to step away from The Handmaid’s Tale at this time,” the actress said in a statement at the time.
“I am forever grateful to Bruce Miller for writing such truthful and resonant scenes for Emily, and to Hulu, MGM, the cast and crew for their support.”
