The first official trailer for Fifty Shades Darker has landed and it gives us a very good taster of what to expect. The follow up to Fifty Shade of Grey follows Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele's (Dakota Johnson) relationship as it develops.
Anastasia agrees to give him one more chance on the agreement that there are no more rules for her to abide by for the relationship to work. As they get closer, people from Christian's past try to come between them.
The second installment of the Fifty Shades saga is due for release on February 10th, 2017 and has a brand new director in charge, James Foley, who has previously directed House of Cards.
The previous director, Sam Taylor-Johnson, left the franchise despite having huge success with the first film. At the time it was reported that she had clashed with the author of the books, EL James, on which the movie is based.
She released a statement on her exit saying:
"Directing Fifty Shades of Grey has been an intense and incredible journey for which I am hugely grateful. I have Universal to thank for that.
“I forged close and lasting relationships with the cast, producers and crew and most especially, with Dakota and Jamie.
“I will not be returning to direct the sequels, I wish nothing but success to whosoever takes on the exciting challenges of films two and three.”
Judging by this trailer it doesn't seem to have had a massive impact on the franchise and we're looking forward to seeing the movie in February.
