He's been truly missed.
It's fair to say that
Eastenders is one of the most dramatic shows on television today.
Of all the families living in Albert Square, between the Slaters, the Mitchells and the Brannings, one of the most controversial families that wreak havoc on their neighbours are the Beales.
Ian, Jane et al only seemed to get over the trauma that was losing their daughter Lucy when their youngest son Bobby confessed to killing her.

Their choice to protect Bobby and hide his crime prompted big brother Peter and his pregnant girlfriend Lauren to leave Walford and start a new life together in New Zealand.
Earlier this year however Lauren returned with baby Louie and her new boyfriend, Peter's half brother Steven...
Are you still keeping up?
While there's been much talk of Peter on the show, we still haven't seen any evidence of Peter returning - until now.

According to
The Irish Mirror, the clues we've been seeing onscreen - like Lauren constantly talking about Peter and claiming she still loves him means that he could be coming back sooner than we thought.
Actor Ben Hardy spoke about a possible comeback to the show
"I would be down for that but it's difficult as it's trying to get away from that perception of me as Peter Beale.
"But you know if that didn't matter, I'd go back for an episode or a day, because I'm attached to that storyline."
It seems fans have been waiting long enough for Peter to return, whether it be in the form of Ben Hardy or former Peter Beale actor Thomas Law.
