Euphoria star Hunter Schafer is set to join the cast of the Hunger Games prequel, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, according to
Variety.
Joining the likes of Tom Blyth and Rachel Zegler in the upcoming film, we'll be transported back to Panem to see what life is like in post was Capitol as the 10th Hunger Games approaches.
Hunter, who stars as Jules in the hit HBO series, will play Tigris Snow, the cousin and confidante of Coriolanus Snow, who is played by Tom Blyth.
And if you are a big Hunger Games fan, you'll know it's him who turns out to be the autocratic ruler of Panem.
The film is set to premiere in cinemas on November 17th, 2023 and the story follows the Snow family as they navigate life as the 10th annual
Hunger Games is only around the corner.
Snow will be mentoring Lucy Gray Baird, played by Rachel Zegler, the tribute from District 12 but the games are disrupted when one of the mentors, Arachne Crane, is murdered by her tribute.
Francis Lawrence is back at the helm after directing the last three films in the franchise and The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is based on the book by The Hunger Games author Suzanne Collins which came out last year.
Nina Jacobson and her producing partner Brad Simpson are returning to produce this film after they oversaw the last number of films in the franchise.
The Hunger Games films starred Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, with Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark, Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne and Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy.
The first of the films was released back in 2012 with three sequels following, finishing with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 in 2015.
It remains as one of the biggest and most successful movie franchises in cinema history grossing a staggering $2.9 billion (£2.3 billion) collectively.
