The 21-year-old has been in the role less than two years, but it appears to be part of a recent clear out of the cast. Richard Blackwood, Lee Ryan, Jenna Russell and Maggie Steed, have all left the show recently as well.
Though, apparently the actor isn't too fussed about being written out of the show as he is keen to pursue a music career.
The source added: "Shaheen loves being part of EastEnders but he's got other ambitions."
