Just two lads, being class, in the Natural History Museum.

Last night, Dermot Kennedy and Paul Mescal did us all a solid and performed together for the first time, officially solidifying their positions as the most appreciated men in Ireland, probably. The duo took to London's Natural History Museum last night to perform a really quite haunting (and let's be honest, class) rendition of Dermot's song 'Giants'. The collaboration came as part of the singer's Some Summer Night series, and featured the Normal People star reciting poetry in between Dermot's solo performances. Paul and Dermot became friends through social media following the Kildare man's incredible performance on Normal People. Mescal quickly became a household name thanks to his portrayal of Connell Waldron, this week bagging himself a very much deserved Emmy nomination. Since then, he has pretty much been cropping up everywhere, spreading his acting (and now singing) talents far and wide. https://www.instagram.com/p/CDSudvsgmfp/ But despite the fame, the glory, and the (let's be honest), obsession, Mescal is adamant that his fans know that he is not Connell Waldron. "This is for the record: if anyone ever dates me, I am not Connell and nor do I want to be him," he said. "It was kind of fun at the start, I was like 'Oh, this is mad, people think that Connell's sexy.' A weird thing has crept in where people DM and there's a feeling that maybe there's an anticipation that I'm him." Good to know, going forward.
