Cork actor Aidan O'Callaghan is joining the cast of EastEnders. The actor, who previously appeared in Emmerdale, is joining the long-running soap in April as manager of The Prince Albert. The character, named Lewis Butler, will arrive on the Square this month after nabbing a job as manager of the gay bar. He will be playing a significant role in the series, as he befriends Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) who sticks up for Lewis following a homophobic attack. He is also due to appear in The Witcher: Blood Origin (2022), the prequel series to The Witcher. After completing his studies in Pharmacy in Trinity College Dublin, Aidan moved to London and joined theatre company, the Met Film School. He was cast as 'Mike' in Emmerdale in 2018, a character who "caused a bit of drama" during his time in the Dale. Aidan now splits his time between Cork and the UK.
