The original series creator, Mitchell Kreigman, is also in talks to return as a writer and executive producer.
The revival is currently in the early stages, so there's no hint just yet as to when it will be hitting screens.
But hints that a reboot could be on the horizon have been floating around for a while.
In an interview last month with The Hollywood Reporter the actress said that she didn't feel Sabrina the Teenage Witch didn't need revisiting.
Adding that she felt the sitcom ended "on a really great note", she did say there was another show she was keen to see on screen again.
She explained:
"I like the way we left Sabrina. I think Sabrina ended on a really great note, and I don't think you want to go back and explore that. "At the same time, I think Clarissa ended on a note that could be explored again, because it didn't really have an ending — it sort of ended."
