Chris Pine has not signed up for the third movie

However, fans won't be too pleased to hear what he has to say about the Disney movie.

The actor disappointed fans this week when he confirmed he has not yet signed up for the third film.

He told Today with Hoda & Jenna: "I don’t know anything. Call Disney! Call Bob Iger!"

Fans reacted to the actor's remarks and it's safe to say they're not happy.

"If Chris Pine doesn’t return in Princess Diaries 3 as Prince Consort to Her Majesty, Amelia Mignonette Thermopolis Renaldi, Queen of Genovia, I'm going to lose it!" one wrote.

"Looks like we need to rally the fans! Would love to see Chris back for ‘Princess Diaries 3’—he's such a key part of the charm!" one added.

"He's totally lying!! He better be lying.. He obviously needs to lie about it.." another said.

Fans are hopeful the actor will sign up for the major project after he previously expressed interest in reprising the role.

Chris Pine previously told Entertainment Tonight that he’d happily star in a third movie.

He shared: “Yeah, I’m here! I’m here for it. Give me give me a phone call or an email.”

The actor added: “I would more than entertain it, I’m pulling for it.”

One actress officially returning is Anne Hathaway.

Last week, Anne Hathaway confirmed she will return as Princess Amelia Mignonette Grimaldi Thermopolis Renaldo.
