This comes after Emily Parr was immediately removed from the show in 2007 after she used the word to describe fellow housemate Charley Uchea.
Celebrity Big Brother viewers took to social media last night to call for Alves's eviction from the house and to point out the double standards evident in Channel 5's decision to let him stay.

Alves told Big Brother later that he used the slur because he was "drunk."
He tried to justify his language, saying:
"Last night I was very excited to be here, and I had quite a lot to drink, and I was intoxicated. "Today I’m very hungover, and obviously I regret that, using the n-word, that was not necessary at all. It was just excitement."Big Brother told Alves that his level of intoxication was not relevant, before giving him a formal warning. Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight on TV3 at 9pm.
