Besides thanking all of the ‘creative geniuses’ who have dressed her in the most exquisite ensembles over the years, she also made a sincere statement about how women dress – a statement that coincides perfectly with recent scandalous reports emanating from Hollywood.
According to InStyle, Cate said;
“Women like looking sexy, but it doesn’t mean we want to eff you. “No one says to Steve Bannon, ‘You look like a bag of trash. Do you want me to throw you out?’
“But the comments that get said about what women wear on the red carpet – I mean. If you troll through those trolls on the internet… just don’t. “I just say, ‘bring it on, ladies! Break it wide open. I think you’re all extraordinary.”Cate is one of many stars making attempts to boost women’s confidence and power and what better role model?! Moral of the story, dress for yourself. Wear what gives you the confidence and strength to do your best each day and… eff what anyone else might think.
