The actor has played Nick Tilsley on the soap for years.
Ben Price, who plays Nick in the Coronation Street has announced that he is leaving the show.
The actor has been playing Nick for over seven years as the character was originally played by Adam Rickitt until 2004.
Now the character is set to leave the cobbles for good.
The actor adds that his reasons for departing are purely personal.
Ben who is a dad of two has said that he wants be at home more often.
He currently commutes from London to Manchester for the role, which is quite the trek.
''I want to be able to spend more time with my family.''
"I have been supported by a terrific cast and crew and have had the most glorious storylines and for that I am most grateful," Ben said.
Though there's no official word of how his exit will do down on the show, we'd imagine it'd be connected to his current storyline.
Nick's on again/off again Girlfriend Leanne is currently pregnant with Steve McDonald's baby and it is expected that once everyone on the street finds out, it will cause a lot of stress.
So we'd imagine that once that all comes out, he'll leave, heartbroken over all the drama.
Only time will tell.
''We fully respect Ben's decision to leave Coronation Street.
As Nick, he has been at the centre of some of the biggest plots of the last seven years. He is a valued member of the cast who will be greatly missed, but we still have many months of great storylines with him, leading to his dramatic exit later this year,'' Kieran Roberts, Executive Producer at Coronation Street said.
