Because he hasn't.
Last night on Aftersun, Caroline Flack asked Adam about the one moment that made the entire nation despise him - when he smirked and laughed at Rosie while she was intensely upset.
It was a horrible moment, one that led to a domestic abuse charity warning women about this kind of abusive behaviour known as gaslighting - when a man makes a woman feel insecure, unsure of herself, and even crazy by downplaying an incident and forcing her to believe that she is to blame.
According to Adam though, he wasn't being a dick at all.
No, it was just bad editing. Right.
He said:
"The conversation was a lot longer than what was obviously on the episode and it was massively cut down. I wasn't laughing at Rosie being upset. I wouldn't like to see anybody upset not any of the girls. "It was almost because the conversation had gone on for so long. I didn't say one word because I couldn't get a word in edgeways. "She was speaking at me, I didn't get a chance to defend myself or explain the situation. I was almost laughing as in I can't even speak or get a word in."Like, this isn't even a good defence of what happened, Adam. Sorry. Adam then went on to say that he apparently is in love with Zara and can't wait to be with her which we absolutely do not believe for a second. Whatever helps you sleep at night, we guess.
