While cinemas are notably quieter during the summer season, Netflix is not following the same rule. Yes, the streaming service is seriously upping its game as of late and we're all for it.
With many of our favourite shows returning for a new season over the last few weeks, there's also been many a great movie added also.
And while searching through them all might be an overwhelming task, we've taken steps to make it a little easier. Namely, doing all the hard work for you and picking out some of our favourites.
Here are nine movies you should consider throwing on tonight.
1. All I See Is You
Plot: When a woman blinded in a childhood accident regains her sight, she begins to suspect her life and marriage might not be as perfect as she imagined.
2. Jackie
Plot: To honour her husband’s legacy, first lady Jacqueline Kennedy allows a reporter to interview her a mere week after the president’s assassination.
3. Monster-in-Law
Plot: An office temp thinks she’s found Mr Right when she starts dating a handsome surgeon. But there’s a problem standing in the way of everlasting bliss.
4. Jason Bourne
Plot: Once again on the run from the government, the former spy is back to take on a shadowy cyber plot and solve the mystery behind this father’s death.
5. The Glass Castle
Plot: A successful New York writer tries to reconcile her well-ordered life of privilege with her nomadic childhood ruled by a quixotic, unstable father.
6. Mississippi Burning
Plot: When an African-American boy disappears in 1964 Mississippi, two agents move in on a beautician who knows the truth about the Ku Klux Klan’s actions.
7. Like Father
Plot: A jilted bride takes the dad she hasn’t seen in decades on her honeymoon. It might be the best mistake she’s ever made.
