Sorry Christmas, but Halloween is fast becoming our favourite holiday of the year.
With the leaves starting to fall from the trees, an abundance of sweets wherever we go, and the chance to get dressed up, what's not to love?
Yes, there are plenty of perks and that's before we even get to the entertainment.
While the holly jolly holiday might have an endless supply of movies, Halloween is a chance to binge-watch some of the best scare-inducing TV shows out there - and there are a lot.
Here are six worth enjoying this month on Netflix.
1. American Horror Story (7 seasons)
Plot: This twisted Emmy-winning drama plays upon the power of supernatural fears and everyday horrors, exploring humankind’s unsettling capacity for evil.
2. The Vampire Diaries (8 seasons)
Plot: Trapped in adolescent bodies, feuding vampire brothers Stefan and Damon vie for the affection of captivating teenager Elena.
3. Stranger Things (2 seasons)
Plot: When a young boy vanished, a small town uncovers a mystery involving secret experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one strange little girl.
4. Teen Wolf (6 seasons)
Plot: An animal bite turns a high schooler into a werewolf and he suddenly becomes a star athlete and chick magnet. But he also faces a new set of problems.
5. Bates Motel (5 seasons)
Plot: When his father dies, Norman Bates and his mother open a hotel. But Norman’s precarious mental state drives them down a dark and violent path.
6. The Mist (1 season)
Plot: Trapped by a mysterious fog, residents of a Maine village discover that it hides nightmarish creatures. A new series based on Stephen Kind’s novella.
