It's the TV crossover we never really knew we needed (but now totally want to see happen). But it turns out that two of our favourite sitcoms - The Good Place and Parks and Rec - might actually exist in the same universe. Eagle-eyed Twitter user @ShinraAlpha pointed out that Eleanor Shellstrop's favourite magazine, Celebrity Baby Plastic Surgery Disasters, featured two ads from Pawnee, Indiana. And people's minds. were. blown. https://twitter.com/ShinraAlpha/status/960881442871005184 The two screenshots, taken from the second season finale of The Good Place, show ads for Dennis Feinstein's cologne and Jean-Ralphio's champagne on the back covers of The Good Place's shrimp-loving kind-of-hero's magazines. But, thankfully, seemed to be totally on board (or that's what we're taking it as, at least). https://twitter.com/netflix/status/960944949297491968 Since both of the shows are created by the same person and have several cast members in common, the ads could just be an east egg for super observant fans. But none the less, we remain hopeful - after all, it would definitely be the best place. The Good Place was renewed by NBC for a third 13-episode season during its recent midseason break. But fans will be waiting awhile to find out what happened to Eleanor, Chidi, Jason and Tahani. Season one kicked off on September 19, while season two began on September 20, 2017 - so a premiere date around the same time in the United Sates is more than likely, with Netflix adding the show the next day.
