Staying in tonight and looking for something new to watch?
There are plenty of great films on the telly tonight. But if none of those sound like they'd be up your street, there's some good news : Disney+ have a number of fan favourite films that you may not have even realised where available to watch.
From romantic comedies to epic adventures, here are 12 movies you (probably) didn't realise were on Disney+.
Adventures in Babysitting
Chris Parker agrees to babysit after her boyfriend, Mike Todwell, stands her up. Expecting a dull evening, she settles down with three kids for a night of TV...and boredom. But when her frantic friend, Brenda, calls and pleads to be rescued from the bus station in downtown Chicago, the evening soon explodes into an endless whirl of hair raising adventures.
Chris and the kids leave their safe suburban surroundings and head for the heart of the big city, never imagining how terrifyingly funny their expedition will become.
Splash
As a young boy, Allen Bauer is rescued from drowning off Cape Cod by a young mermaid. Years later, he returns to the same location, and once again manages to fall into the sea, and is rescued once more by the mermaid — although he isn't sure what he has seen and what he has imagined.
Using maps from a sunken ship, the mermaid decides to search for Allen in New York City, sprouting legs when her tail dries. On finding Allen, they fall in love, but she has a secret, which will no longer be a secret if she gets her legs wet.
Flubber
The happy, absent-minded professor, Dr Phillip Brainard, is struggling to come up with a brilliant invention to save Medfield College from closure — and stumbles upon an innovative but highly unstable formula for "Flubber", a mysterious rubber-like hybrid elastomer that can lift objects, bouncing and stretching as if it had a mind of its own.
Of course, the unique creation catches the attention of a ruthless rival who is determined to get his hands on it. He’ll just have to catch it, first.
Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
On the brink of perfecting his state-of-the-art matter-shrinking machine, Professor Wayne Szalinski realises that his device truly works after it zaps both his kids and their friends.
Now, to return to the relative safety of their home after being reduced to a mere quarter-inch size, the minuscule humans must venture out into the dense and perilous landscapes of their now-immense backyard — a hostile environment where nearly everything spells trouble. Can the kids exit the green maze of grass in one piece?
Three Men and a Baby
Sharing a happily single life in their upscale Manhattan apartment, the roommates and unrepentant bachelors, Peter, Michael, and Jack, see their perfectly organised world turn upside down, when they find the adorable abandoned infant, Mary, right on their doorstep.
Under those circumstances, whether they like it or not, the three men will have to look after the innocent baby until her mother returns. Up until now, the trio of handsome charmers thought they knew everything about women; however, baby Mary has the upper hand, demanding their attention, and, above all, their love. Are the reluctant parents up to the task?
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
'Toon star Roger is worried that his wife Jessica is playing pattycake with someone else, so the studio hires detective Eddie Valiant to snoop on her.
But the stakes are quickly raised when Marvin Acme is found dead and Roger is the prime suspect. Groundbreaking interaction between the live and animated characters, and lots of references to classic animation.
Edward Scissorhands
In a castle high on top of a hill lives an inventor's greatest creation — Edward, a near-complete person. But the creator died before he could finish Edward's hands; instead, leaving him with metal scissors for hands.
Since then, he has lived alone, until a kind lady called Peg discovers him and welcomes him into her home. At first, everyone welcomes him into the community, but soon things begin to take a change for the worse.
Mrs Doubtfire
After Daniel Hillard, an unemployed actor, loses custody of his three children to his ex-wife, he realises that seeing his kinds once a week isn't enough.
So the crafty thespian dresses as Mrs. Doubtfire, an elderly British navy with a sharp tongue and endearing way with children, in order to be close to his kids.
Never Been Kissed
Chicago Sun Times copy editor Josie Gellar is keen to move to reporter -- and she gets her chance when the owner of the paper sends her back to her old high-school, undercover, to find out what teenagers are like. Though she accepts, Josie has some painful memories from that time -- and thinks of her assignment as an opportunity to redo everything and correct the mistakes she made in high school.
She gets a make over, and with the help of her brother who was popular in high school, becomes friends with the popular girls. However Josie's life hits rock bottom when she is told to do her story on her English teacher, who she has fallen for. She now has to decide whether to be true to her dream of being a reporter or true to her heart.
The Sound of Music
Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical inspired this story of the governess who won the heart of the Von Trapp family, and whose courage led them across the Alps in their 1938 flight to freedom.
Sister Act
Deloris Van Cartier is a lounge singer who is forced into hiding after she witnesses a mob hit. And she goes to the last place that anyone would ever look for her: a convent.
