After it was first announced last year that Ed Sheehan was introducing a strict no ticket reselling for all his tour gigs, Ticketmaster released a statement today to remind fans of this ahead of his nine Irish sold out gigs this May. Ahead of him playing in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Belfast starting this Friday, May 4, Ticketmaster released the following statement: "All Ed Sheeran concert tickets sold for his Irish tour across three venues in Cork, Dublin and Galway were sold with strict guidelines for purchasers to follow. These rules have not changed since the release of tickets.” “Persons who purchased their tickets through the website are required to bring Photo ID in the lead booking name on the tickets along with the credit card or a photocopy of a credit card used for purchase." “Persons who purchased their tickets in Ticketmaster outlets are just required to bring Photo ID in the lead booking name printed on their tickets to gain entry. No receipt of payment is required in this instance.” They also stated that if the person who bought the tickets cannot attend, someone with the same surname must attend in their place. “If the lead booker of the tickets is unable to attend the concert someone with the same surname as on the tickets may use the tickets provided they show Photo ID and a photocopy of the credit card used for purchase.
