Fans of the royal family have understandably grown concerned about her recovery, but the palace has stressed that she is doing well.

Social media users have claimed the princess has gone 'missing' following her surgery but the palace insists she is recovering at home.

Ahead of her surgery, the royal officials urged the public to respect Kate and William's privacy as she recovers because they want to remain some sort of normalcy for their three young children.

"The Prince and Princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided.

"The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world," they concluded.

However, Prince William's recent absence from a royal engagement sparked even further concern this week.

He was forced to pull out of a memorial service for his godfather due to a personal matter, leading many to wonder if something had happened to Kate.

Kate likely won't return to royal duties until she has fully recovered with officials confirming she likely won't return to royal duties until after Easter.

Princess Catherine will return to royal duties in the coming weeks

Insiders have also claimed Kate won't travel abroad when she does return to work in the springtime.

A health expert told GB News that she likely won't travel outside of England when she does return to work.

"With a swift recovery, we expect to see Kate back to her usual duties relatively soon.

"She will be back meeting the general public and her usual royal engagements.

"However, this most likely will not include travelling outside the UK in the early stages," they added.

Kensington Palace has not disclosed what surgery Princess Catherine underwent in January, which is likely fuelling public concern.
