Prince Harry has released a statement ahead of his return to the UK.
Next month, the Prince will attend a charity event, the WellChild Awards, after more than 15 years of working together.
There have been many questions around whether or not the Duke of Sussex would be joined by his wife Meghan Markle amid royal tensions.
However, the statement released today clearly states that he will be attending the event solo.
Harry released a short statement through WellChild confirming the visit, which will mark his first visit back to the UK since the Queen's funeral.
He said: “For nearly 20 years, WellChild has been transforming the lives of children and young people across the UK, providing critical care that priorities the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of these individuals and their families.
“The courage and strength embodied by these young people – and the tireless devotion of those who support them – never cease to inspire me. I’m honoured to attend this year’s awards ceremony and celebrate their incredible work.”
The trip comes as the relationship between Harry and his family remains strained, with many hoping the trip would have been used as an opportunity to mend fences.
However, royal insiders have said he has ‘no intentions’ of meeting with his family during this trip, according to
The Mirror.
The WellChild awards will take place in London on September 7th - the day before the first anniversary of the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Meanwhile, Meghan Markle is due to join Harry once again for the Invictus Games a few days later.
