Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have revealed that their first show with Netflix will be called Heart of Invictus. The series will centre around the 2022 Invictus Games. The Invictus Games were scheduled to take place in 2020, however they were put on hold due to Covid-19 restrictions. The first Invictus Games took place in 2014. The aim of the week-long sporting event is to aid the recovery of active-duty soldiers and veterans. The 2022 Invictus Games will go ahead in The Hague in The Netherlands. Last year, Harry and Meghan signed a deal with Netflix to produce a variety of projects for the streaming platform. Harry will serve as the project's executive producer. Additionally, he will appear on camera. In a statement, Harry spoke about his passion for this particular project: "Since the very first Invictus Games back in 2014, we knew that each competitor would contribute in their own exceptional way to a mosaic of resilience, determination, and resolve. "This series will give communities around the world a window into the moving and uplifting stories of these competitors on their path to the Netherlands next year. "As Archewell Productions' first series with Netflix, in partnership with the Invictus Games Foundation, I couldn't be more excited for the journey ahead or prouder of the Invictus community for continuously inspiring global healing, human potential and continued service." While details about the couple's other Netflix projects are yet to be announced, Harry and Meghan have previously given a vague suggestion of what to expect from the series. Last year, the couple said that they want to create content that "informs but also gives hope". They also spoke about exploring "diverse communities and their environments". A release date for Heart of Invictus has not been announced.
