One of the higher-ups at Love Island has just hinted that Maura Higgins will definitely be appearing in the all-stars series of the hit dating show. Rumours have been spiralling that an all-stars series of Love Island is in the works which would see former islanders come back for a second chance at love. Speaking about the possibility of an all-stars season being on the cards, executive producer Mike Spencer told RadioTimes that he would 'love' to make it happen. Spencer said: “I think I said I’d like to do one last year and then everyone started talking about it! I can’t say anything yet but I’d love to do an all stars!” When he was asked who he would like to see back, and if Maura was going to return to our screens, he said: "I had breakfast with her the other day. [caption id="attachment_581636" align="alignnone" width="1920"] Credit: ITV[/caption] “She’s so funny. She’s amazing, so I’d love to see her on it.” Spencer added that he is currently in talks to do "different things" but hopes that an all-star series will come soon. Maura isn't the only islander he'd want to see back, with "so many iconic islanders" to choose from. The news comes after it was revealed on social media that a new spin-off of the hit ITV dating series is currently in the works and is set to feature contestants from the US, UK and Australian versions of the series, as well as other international takes on the show. The series is expected to be called Love Island Games and will see a group of singletons looking for a second chance at love on a reality show take part in different challenges and of course, couple up with each other along the way. The series is set to be produced by ITV Entertainment and will air this autumn on Peacock, but the lineup for the show is yet to be announced.
