"The freezing of eggs isn’t guaranteed. That's a misunderstanding"
Season 3 of
The Kardashians did not disappoint.
Members of the famous family opened up more than they ever have with Kim discussing how Kanye's behaviour has affected her to Khloe explaining how difficult it is having a baby via surrogacy.
Kourney also got very honest on camera for the premiere of season three.
She revealed why she decided to stop IVF treatment but said herself and hubby, Travis Barker are still trying for a baby.
The mum-of-four already shares sons Reign Aston, 8, Mason Dash, 13, and daughter Penelope Scotland, 10, with ex Scott Disick.
Kourney and Travis have always been open about wanting more children and viewers saw a lot of their journey in season two.
However, unfortunately IVF didn't go to plan for the newly weds.
"We're just embracing that whatever is meant to be will be."
In the first episode of
The Kardashians, Kourtney explained that she had "seven frozen eggs from years ago" before she met Travis.
She said: "When I was 38 or 39, everyone was like pushing me to do that.
"Most of mine didn’t survive the thaw because eggs are one cell, and none of them made it into an embryo.
"The freezing of eggs isn’t guaranteed. It’s a misunderstanding, people do it thinking it's a safety net, and it's not."
She also revealed that the whole journey "took a toll" on her general health and well-being.
The reality star said: "My health is still impacted because it's hormones, and mentally it definitely took a toll.
"I think being happy is what's important and being a good parent to my kids.
"We're just embracing that whatever is meant to be will be."
Kourtney stressed that she does "believe what God has in store".
She stopped her IVF treatment back in December and took to Instagram weeks later to say she only felt back to herself then.
She wrote: "Finally started getting my energy back 10 months after stopping IVF.
"For anyone else going through it, it gets better!"
