The Royal Family has been attending Bond premieres as far back as 1967 when Queen Elizabeth met with Sean Connery at the You Only Live Twice screening.
Kate paid homage to this tradition and her late mother in law, by wearing an equally glamorous outfit.
They both chose to don metallic dresses for the 007 events with Diana going for a full-length sleeve and Kate modernising the look by having her sleeves open into a cape style.
The dress spoke for itself and needed little accessorising as Kate simply paired it with some O'Nitaa earrings.
It is not the first time the Duchess of Cambridge has enlisted Jenny Packham's help to dazzle on the red carpet, in 2015 she also wore a Packham creation to the James Bond Spectre premiere. The floor-length sheer baby blue dress also took people's breath away.
Star of the show, Daniel Craig, who is playing Bond in the 25th film in the series, reportedly said she looked "jolly lovely!"
Mr. 007 was not the only one stunned by the royal's beauty. Billie Eilish, who has co-written and performs the theme song for the No Time to Die movie, was visibly star-struck upon meeting Kate.
Eilish was equally covered in sequins, but in a notably different way, in her matching glitzy black shirt and trousers, with gold jewellery and a pair of platformed Gucci slides.
Kate was accompanied by Prince William who went for a classic black tuxedo with a velvet jacket and satin lapels.
Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla also made the event, with Charles wearing a full black tuxedo and Camilla a baby blue Bruce Oldfield gown speckled with sparkles.
The fashion wasn't lost on the cast either with a lot of hype over Daniel Craig's choice of a pink velvet jacket, a bold move away from his usual black tux.Explore more on these topics:
