Kate Middleton and Prince William arrived in Pakistan yesterday for an official royal visit. The royal couple arrived have a busy schedule for the next four days, before flying back to the UK on Friday. First on the agenda today was meeting children benefiting from the Teach For Pakistan programme, which is a fast-track teacher training scheme. Following that, they also met Pakistan's President, Arif Alvi, and Prime Minister, Imran Khan, who was a good friend of Princess Diana. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge then attended a formal event in Pakistan's National Monument. How did they get there? By limo? O by helicopter? No no, they got a rickshaw to the fancy affair. A literal Tuk Tuk. And bravo to them. William and Kate travelled in the colourful cart to the historic Pakistan Monument in Islamabad this evening for an event hosted by Thomas Drew, the British High Commissioner to Pakistan. A video, which was released by the British High Commission showed the tuk-tuk being painted with the Union Jack and the Pakistani national flag. So there's meaning in the little cart. Kate Middleton wore a beautiful sparkling emerald green dress by Jenny Packham, which was absolutely stunning in every way. Wills rocked green also, the colour of the Pakistani flag, opting for a traditional Shervani which is a long coat-like garment which is popular with men across India and Pakistan. They looked great.
