Kate Middleton enlisted someone special to help pick her first child's name.
The Royal Family is restricted when it comes to picking baby names. It has to be a traditional family name, previously approved by the late Queen Elizabeth. They'll never stray too far from tradition, but many have opted for more unique names like Princess Eugenie's son, August.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also chose quite an unusual name for their daughter when they called her Lilibet, despite it being the former monarch's nickname, it wasn't a traditional family name.
When picking the name of their first child, the Prince and Princess of Wales sought help from their beloved dog Lupo.

The Times, the parents wrote the baby names they loved most on scraps of paper and then placed them around the floor of their house.

They agreed that whatever piece of paper Lupo walked over to would be the name of their firstborn. The dog went over to the scrap of paper that had 'George' written on it.
It is not known if they carried on this tradition with their other children, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
The cocker spaniel has since passed away, but Kate Middleton and Prince William have another dog named Orla.
Prince George was reportedly named after Queen Elizabeth's father, King George VI.
