"They're just a few of the millions who need us."
TV Judge Rob Rinder is on his way to the Ukrainian border to meet the grandparents of his Strictly Come Dancing partner Oksana Platero.
Rinder took to Twitter earlier this week to outline his reasons for travelling to the
Ukraine/Poland border.
He wrote: "Oksana Platero my Ukrainian dance partner on @bbcstrictly gifted me so much. Right now her grandparents are a week into their struggle to find sanctuary in a safe country.
"I'll be trying to meet them on the border next week. They're just a few of the millions who needs us."
Judge Rinder continued: "Depends on where they make it to but I'll be at the Polish border from Monday. If they cross into Hungary the next step will be getting them to safety with their family."

Rinder's pledge to assist the family of his dance partner comes just days after he condemned Russia's President Vladimir Putin as "pure evil".
Rinder was paired with Platero in the 14th season of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing. After an impressive run, they finished in fifth.
Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began, 2 million people have fled the country, and it's understood that half of them are children.
Millions more have been displaced within the country.
Yesterday, Russian troops bombed a
maternity hospital in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol, killing at least two adults and one six-year-old girl. 17 others were injured and the hospital was completely destroyed.
Ukraine's President Zelenksy shared raw footage of the damage and called on world leaders to do more to stop Russia's destruction of Ukraine.
UK PM Boris Johnson condemned the attack, saying: "There are few things more depraved than targeting the vulnerable and defenceless. The UK is exploring more support for Ukraine to defend against airstrikes and we will hold Putin to account for his terrible crimes."
