TMZ claimed the pair were heading for divorce after months of struggles in their relationship.
According to the publication, Joe had his representatives consult with divorce lawyers in Los Angeles.
"He is on the cusp of filing divorce docs to end his marriage to Sophie," a source revealed to
TMZ.
The source also said the couple have been experiencing "serious issues" in their marriage.
They also said Joe has been caring for their daughters "pretty much all of the time".
The couple, who met on Instagram, first started dating in 2016. The
Leave Before You Love Me singer then popped the question in 2017.
Joe and Sophie tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2019. The couple shares two daughters.
