Jesy Nelson has opened up about her traumatic pregnancy
New mum Jesy Nelson has opened up about the difficulties she faced during her pregnancy.
Jesy recently gave birth to twins, but her road to motherhood was extremely complicated.
The singer admitted it was one that left her in a constant state of fear.
In her first interview since giving birth, the mum admitted that she was not able to enjoy her pregnancy.
Appearing on This Morning with her partner, Zion Foster, and their newborns, Jesy opened up about the harrowing journey.
Jesy's twins were at risk of twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome during her pregnancy.
Speaking about the condition, the mum admitted she was so scared of what could've happened to her babies.
Jesy said she couldn't believe "the percentages and what could potentially happen to them."
"I almost felt like, from that point, I couldn’t really enjoy my pregnancy because I was just constantly worried that something was going to happen.
"I actually had a threatened miscarriage quite early on as well, and from then I was like, I don’t even want to announce it (the pregnancy).
"When I think back to it now, it makes me feel so sad because it's like, when you’re pregnant, that should be like the happiest time of your life," she said.
Before the birth of her twins, Jesy underwent emergency surgery due to the risk of twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome.
Her twins were born prematurely at 31 weeks, but are doing well. Jesy welcomed twin daughters Ocean Jade and Story Monroe on May 15th.
