Jeremy Renner has credited his daughter for his recovery from a near-fatal accident

A year after the terrifying incident, Jeremy posted to Instagram, reflecting on the year and praising his 10-year-old daughter Ava for helping him.

Sharing an adorable black and white snap from New Year, the 52-year-old could be seen embracing Ava in a tight hug as she wore a 2024 tiara.

Captioning the snap, Jeremy wrote: "Reason number One for my recovery is her. I asked her to 'wait for me' when I first saw her on January 14 as I arrived home.

"As I got better, she got better, less afraid. There is simply no better motivator to recover than to heal your family and friends.

"With gratitude always, thank you all for your love and support this last full year. I needed every ounce of goodwill and prayer.

"Hope you enjoy the video we made from the 'Love and Titanium' EP set to release Jan 19th," he concluded.

He included a link to the video for his latest song, 'Wait', which featured scenes of himself and his daughter doing various activities together.

The video begins with Jeremy reading out a letter to his daughter before lots of clips of them together at home playing the piano, driving in the car and in the garden are played.

He says: "To my daughter, my everything, my only thing, my number one. You are the best part of me, you've become tremendously inspired at such a young age.

"Your grace, your thoughtfulness, and your constitution make me so very proud," he said.

"You have so much to love Ava, you have so much to live and so much to give. You will be your own teacher now, I'll be in your heart and your mind, always guiding," he continued.

"Daddy is always with his daughter."
