Tributes have been pouring in for beloved singer, Sinéad O'Connor.

Sinéad has been remembered as one of the most iconic Irish singers as well as a powerful and passionate person. Aisling Bea led the tributes with a poignant message posted last night about the time she met O'Connor. "How desperately sad the loss of Sinéad O’Connor is. For music and Ireland. She was an absolute hero of mine and one of the few people I’ve ever been star-struck by. Bea said the singer was "dry and funny and kind and sharp" when she met her. She described her as "incredibly gentle" and a "truth-sayer". "She was vilified, humiliated at times, metaphorically crucified when alone and in her twenties. Everything she stood up for and against then, including racism in the music industry, has been proven to have been needed and right. "Gone too soon.
