Greg O'Shea has had a whirlwind of a year, but after representing Ireland at the Tokyo Olympics he's making a massive career move. The former Love Island winner has revealed that he will be retiring from rugby altogether and is looking to focus on different aspects of his career. Greg played alongside the Rugby Sevens team for Ireland at the summer Olympics but unfortunately didn't bring home any medals. Breaking the news on Instagram, Greg says now is the "right time" to make the career switch and end his rugby career. Posting a snap of him posing in his rugby kit, Greg said: "My life has always been focused around my rugby career, so it has been a really difficult decision for me to decide to retire from the game I love. "It just feels like the right time for me to close that chapter of my life, especially after reaching my goal of becoming an Olympian and with everything else I want to do outside of rugby." Greg uploaded a YouTube video to further explain his departure from the game, saying that he wants to make a career outside of rugby and go down a different life path. Hoping to head to London, Greg is looking to pursue a career in presenting, and he's also giving away some of his Olympic gear. Raffling off his "Olympic gear, and two pairs of Adidas boots" as well as his "World Series jersey, training gear, and two pairs of Adidas boots." Playing the game for the majority of his life, this change in his career is a huge step for the former islander.
