But it was during Vogue's live stream of the event that fans spotted the 27-year-old vaping in the background of an Emma Chamberlain interview.
It was only hours after Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and MET museum curator Andrew Bolton were asked what is the "best way to never be invited back again" on CBS Mornings.
The two replied: “Smoking.”

In a selfie posted by Billie Eilish to her Instagram story of the night, there is a sign in the bathroom that reads: "No smoking, no vaping," which adds to the ban on using these products at the event.
Doja Cat revealed last year that she had given up vaping after going through tonsil surgery as she needed to remove an abscess caused by the vapes.
But a source close to Doja Cat told Page Six that there was no nicotine in her vaping device and insisted that it was nothing more than flavoured water vapour.
The ban on smoking at the Met Gala is one Anna takes extremely seriously. In 2018, she added undercover security to the event after discovering that guests would bend the rules on this in the bathroom.
Despite this, in 2019 Cole Sprouse and Luka Sabbat posted footage of themselves in the Met's bathroom smoking.
It is unclear as to whether Doja Cat's zero nicotine vape is included in Anna's smoking ban, but other celebrities that have reportedly smoked at the event have been invited back in the past.
Despite Cole Sprouse's antics in 2019, he was invited back in 2022 for the star studded event, so Doja Cat may get away with it.
