The documentary explores Nikki's life outside of fame.

A UK charity has has issued a warning ahead of Channel 4's Nikki Grahame documentary, which airs tonight. In April 2021, Nikki tragically passed away at the age of 38 after suffering from anorexia for most of her life. Now, just days before the one-year-anniversary of her death, a film called 'Nikki Grahame: Who Is She?' will tell her story. Eating disorder charity Beat has warned that the documentary could be distressing for some people.

Tom Quinn, director of external affairs, said in a statement to Metro: "We know that Nikki was a beloved member of the community, however we would advise that anybody currently unwell with an eating disorder does not watch the documentary.

"Whilst the piece talks about eating disorders in a respectful and non-glamourising way, there are some details that would be distressing for those affected by eating disorders, such as specific BMIs and low weight photos."

The documentary has been described as a celebration of Nikki, showing home videos and telling stories of her life outside of her Big Brother fame. It will feature exclusive interviews with her loved ones, including her mother, close friends and celebrities she worked with over the years. Viewers will gain an insight into the reality of Graham's life battling an eating disorder and the toll the illness took on her. The documentary's executive producer Ollie Durant previously said that he ws "honoured" to make the film with Nikki's family and friends. "She was an amazingly kind, caring person who despite her own struggles, worked tirelessly to raise awareness of anorexia and the exponential rise of mental health issues in society today," he said. "We hope this film is a fitting tribute to her legacy." Nikki Grahame: Who is She? airs Thursday April 7 on Channel 4 and All 4 from 9pm.
