It’s an unfortunate fact of life, that thanks to the access of internet and 24-hours news services, people can become desensitised to traumatic events.
While we know that one of the greatest refugee crises of all time is taking place across Europe, the response of aid and support to these disadvantaged migrants hasn’t always been exemplary from government officials.
Benedict Cumberbatch finished his run as Hamlet in London theatres with an incredible speech addressing the crisis:
“You have to understand, no one puts children in a boat unless that water is safer than the land.”
