According to a post on their blog, there's been a positive update in terms of their abuse regulations. Many people report that when they are the target of abuse, individuals often send a chain of tweets, ranting one after the other. Previously, you were only able to report single tweets at a time, making it a laborious process to report tweets to their safety authority, but now you can report groups of tweets at a time. This will give those in charge at Twitter more context (by sending a whole group of tweets, the safety officers will get a better idea of the extent of the harassment much faster than before).According to the UN 95% of online abuse is towards women. Report abuse on Twitter more easily than ever. Find out how to protect yourself and others.https://t.co/1MEfTzkfFL — Safety (@safety) April 25, 2016"We want everyone on Twitter to feel safe expressing themselves. Behavior that crosses the line into abuse is against our rules and we want it to be easy for you to report it to us. So, today we’re introducing an improvement to our reporting process: the ability to attach multiple Tweets to a single report." This is a welcome change, and hopefully the start of a fully comprehensive safety strategy for the company.
