From the hell that is sending a text about a person TO that person to professing your feelings to someone who really isn't interested, many people have often thought 'I wish I could unsend this message so I wouldn't have to move to this cave forever'.
Now it seems that this may be possible, thanks to a new iOS app called Privates (yes, the name, we know).
Metro report that the app was originally designed to send private medical records, and its creator Dr Isaac Datikashvili says : 'it's virtually impossible for one person to screen grab or save anything if the security setting is high.'
There is a small catch, though. You need to act quickly to make sure that the message isn't opened by the recipient before you use the app.
There are three security settings on the app, and there's even a function to help protect against sneaky screenshots. Handy.
The app is currently only available on iOS, but there are plans to expand it into Android and Windows markets.
Here's a short explainer:

This will probably work best for drunk texts, as the recipient of them would most likely be asleep and not get around to reading your declaration of love until the morning.
Now, we just have to remember to actually USE it after a night out.
